An introduction…
Yes, I am a frequent user of tumblr, and although the blogging platform has many advantages, I felt the need to create this page because of the complete idiocy that runs rampant with the culture of tumblr. It was, perhaps my fifth or sixth month as a user of tumblr when it finally hit me. I dreaded going through my Dashboard, being bombarded with the constant drivel that makes the Tumblr users so “unqiue”. So “unique”, obviously, that the picture or the quote (my God, it’s always a quote, isn’t it?) had to be reblogged 25 times. And I was friends with most of those people. And they all re-blogged that same damn quote. And no one, of course, adds anything insightful. They merely re-blog it, like, “Hey there! I kinda agree with that. It’s pretty non-threatening, like I want people to view me, and so I’ll put it on my page. I mean, it’s not like I can come up with anything different or original on my own, right?” Ugh.
And so, i hate tumblr was born. I have no idea how long this will last, or even if it will go beyond this one entry, but I must put my grievances out there, anonymously at least, as the circle jerk that is tumblr continues to cripple my free time on the internet.
